Conventional cameras improve low-light sensitivity by mechanically removing the IR filter, the M3PIX seamlessly switches to optimized monochrome sensor in low light, avoiding sensitivity drop-off due to color filters and small pixels and accommodating 10,000,000:1 range of scene illuminations.
